SCHOLARSHIPS
Thanks to our generous donors, Tuscola County Community Foundation awards scholarships each year to students pursuing post-secondary education certificates or degrees.
Scholarships are awarded competitively based on criteria set by donors. These criteria could include financial need, the school the applicant is attending, academic achievement, as well as personal or career goals.
Scholarship Application Information
How to Apply
Scholarship Applications are available through the guidance office at each high school within the Tuscola Intermediate School District. Applications are due postmarked by March 15, 2024.
FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
No matter if you’re a graduating senior or if you’re already in college, you’ll need to submit the FAFSA to be considered for federal student financial aid.
To fill out the form, you and your parent will need to create a FSA ID. For help on either creating an ID or filling out the form, you can go to www.studentaid.gov, call 1-800-4-FED-AID or email studentaid@ed.gov.

Ralph & Marceline Bublitz Scholarship for Registered Nurses– Established in 2014 to provide scholarships to Tuscola County students pursuing a career as a Registered Nurse. Download Application
Paul DeLong Memorial Scholarship – Scholarship awards shall be made to graduating high school seniors from one of the seven counties (Huron, Tuscola, Sanilac, Lapeer, St. Clair, Macomb, or Oakland) and exhibiting three or more years, the current year must be their senior year, at the Thumb Jackpot Beef Show. In order to participate in the scholarship award, the exhibitor must indicate their interest to participate on the Thumb Jackpot Beef Show registration/entry form.

Olaf A. Goodell Scholarship – Established in 2004 to provide scholarships to Tuscola County students entering a medical field. Download Application
Green Point Dairy Scholarship – One (1) scholarship, $500 Available to a graduating senior from any Tuscola County School including public, private parochial, home school or student who is a resident of Tuscola County but attending high school outside of Tuscola County. Student must be enrolling in a post-secondary program in a field of study associated with agriculture, including vocational fields. Preference will be given to applicants entering study in the dairy industry. Download Application

Kiwanis Club of the Caro Area Scholarship – Established in 2005 to support educational opportunities in Tuscola County with preference given to residents of the Caro area. Download Application
Kenna Lynne Peet Memorial Scholarship – Established in 2008 to provide scholarships to Tuscola County students who are or have attended the Tuscola Technology Center’s Child Services program and plans to pursue a career in teaching special education. Download Application
Pat Curtis Chevrolet Auto Body and Technician Scholarship - Established in 2023 to provide scholarships to seniors from a TISD service area, parochial school student, home school student and/or Tuscola County resident attending an accredited high school outside Tuscola County, who is pursuing a career requiring post-secondary education program in an automotive technician or auto body program leading to certification. Shifters of Vassar Scholarship - Established in 2023 to provide scholarship to seniors in the Tuscola Intermediate School District, parochial school student, home school student and/or Tuscola County resident attending an accredited high school outside Tuscola County who is pursuing a career requiring post-secondary education program in an automotive technician, auto body, or automotive related program leading to certification, including its many aspects.
